Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is associated with the start of the modern study of children's memories of eyewitnesses, as well as the role of children as victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received numerous prizes and grants. She has collaborated with numerous authorities and organisations throughout the world in research and guidelines pertaining to child victims of the legal system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional organizations like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
