Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for being the pioneer of research into witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published widely, received many grants and been recognized with many international and national honors. Her work has been with numerous governments and organizations throughout the world in studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victims of the legal system. She serves as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
