Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an distinguished chair in psychology of the University of California Davis and is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was credited with launching modern science's study on children's memory and eyewitness testimony, as well as the application of child witnesses in the court system. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and received many international and national prizes. Her work has been with numerous authorities and organisations all over the world to conduct policy and research pertaining to child victims of the legal system. She acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a part of several professional associations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been director of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
