Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 by Decca Records. It has received a lot of praise from media and bloggers. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded to accompany an advertisement of John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft, and becoming amazed by the music. Her parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a profession or a pastime, but for growth. They encouraged her to compose. Her sources include noted writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love for Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music publicly, not to be famous, but to let others know the importance of their work and the good they do to make a difference in the world. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started creating music when she was nine. Her family didn't hear about her music until she reached fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. She says she just likes to compose songs. To her music, is the most efficient means of communicating anything.
